The Mill was founded in 2017 by Simon Miller and is a dynamic design led architecture studio based in the centre of Kings Cross.
Every project is approached with a core desire to understand the clients aspirations whilst exploiting the inherent opportunities presented by the project context. This is followed by an honest yet sophisticated approach to design which celebrates the clients existing and future way of life.
We are proud to boast that to date 100% of new clients have approached us following direct recommendations and that to date 100% of planning applications have successfully gained approval on their first application.
The Mill is a production house of creativity and deliverability and a RIBA Chartered Practice.

Simon Miller CV
Simon is the founder of The Mill. He is a registered architect and RIBA member. The breadth of his experience ranges from a small boutique for the Monmouth Coffee Company in Borough through to the luxury high-end fit out for Barclays Investment Bank in Canary Wharf, the redevelopment of the BBC in Northern Ireland and the Royal Mint in the City of London.
His project experience covers the urban, architectural and interior design scales from initial project briefing through to construction and completion. He brings twelve years professional experience to The Mill and having recently completed the interior fit out for Monzo Bank HQ in Shoreditch he is currently the project architect on the Mammoth Galleries and Creative Workspace project, a six storey redevelopment in Bloomsbury.
Simon graduated from the Canterbury School of Architecture with distinction and remains involved in architectural education through teaching. He oversees the MArch Design Realisation studio at the Canterbury School of Architecture and co-runs the MArch Design Studio 19 at the University of Greenwich.
Prior to architectural education his background was in the fine and digital arts which continue to inform his work.
Aside from architecture, Simons passion is sailing, he is the Sponsorship Director for the construction industry regatta Little Britain Challenge Cup, held in the Solent annually.
